Castellón is the capital of Spanish ceramics — about 94% of Spain's tiles are made in the province, per ASCER, the Spanish tile manufacturers' association, and its buyers can source from any factory in the world. Drevex, a ceramics house in the Castellón region, imports Carré Parfait's Lebanese-made basins. That purchase decision, made in the most saturated ceramic market in Europe, is the shortest possible quality argument.

The trade runs both ways: Carré Parfait imports Spanish tiles directly from Castellón, and exports its own manufactured basins back. Few showrooms anywhere sit on both sides of that route.

Each basin is a single monolithic piece of premium porcelain, with no joints and no seams, handcrafted at Carré Parfait's own factory sites in Zouk Mosbeh and Safra and finished by hand. The surface is non-porous, so it cleans easily and holds its finish through daily use; the material is dense enough for hotels, spas and commercial washrooms as well as homes.

Because manufacturing is in-house, dimensions are not a catalogue constraint. A vanity that needs a 90-centimetre slab instead of a metre, or a pedestal in a specific finish, is a conversation with the workshop, not a special-order surcharge from abroad.

A washbasin is the same fixture as a basin or a bathroom sink. The bowl washes hands and face. A mixer feeds the bowl and a waste drains the water. Carré Parfait writes "washbasin" for the porcelain pieces made at the Carré Parfait factory sites in Zouk Mosbeh and Safra, and "basin" as the everyday short form.

Wikipedia's definition is the plain one. A sink, "also known as basin or washbin in the UK", is "a bowl-shaped plumbing fixture for washing hands, dishwashing, and other purposes". Porcelain appears on the same article's list of sink materials, beside fire clay and cast iron.

The European standard spells the word as two. BS EN 14688:2015+A1:2018, "Sanitary appliances. Wash basins. Functional requirements and test methods", was published on 25 October 2018. The standard "specifies the functional characteristics and test methods for wash basins for domestic purposes". Its idea of domestic "includes use in hotels, accommodation for students, hospitals and similar buildings, except when special medical provisions are required". Home and hotel count as one use. That is how Carré Parfait specifies its washbasins: for homes and hotels alike.

Formats decide the purchase. A pedestal washbasin is a freestanding column with the bowl on top and no cabinet beneath. The Slab Collection's pedestal models measure around 50–55 × 45 × 85 cm. A slab washbasin is a flat counter piece with the bowl formed in it, resting on furniture or masonry. The D-1 model is 100 × 46 × 16 cm.

Kitchen sinks are a different product. They are not part of the collection. Whichever word a visitor arrives with, the sanitaryware page covers the VitrA basins and the vanity units they pair with. The showroom in Zouk Mosbeh shows every format in a finished bathroom setting.

The pedestal formats stand free — a sculptural column that resolves a small guest bathroom in one move, with no vanity cabinet required. Slab formats sit on furniture or masonry for larger rooms. Both are displayed in complete bathroom settings at the showroom, alongside the VitrA sanitaryware and the tiles the room will be built from, so a basin is chosen in context rather than from a photo.

For hotels, restaurants and developments, Carré Parfait supplies basins at project quantities with the rest of the bathroom package — one supplier for the tiles, the sanitaryware and the basins themselves.
